I founded The Grayzone because there was simply nowhere else for me and many other independent journalists to go. By the time we launched as a fully independent outlet in 2018, mainstream press was a largely sold-out propaganda factory and even the supposedly alternative outlets that once provided us with a sanctuary from the corporate media had succumbed to imperialist narratives.
Since then, The Grayzone has gathered an international audience of critical thinkers and truth-seekers like yourself, and we’ve made headlines around the world with our investigative reporting. Most importantly, our work has disrupted the violent regime change operations and information warfare campaigns waged by an unaccountable imperial elite in Washington and Western Europe.
This is precisely why GoFundMe has refused to transfer the funds we raised from grassroots supporters like you. All they have told us is the donations are being held "due to some external concerns." But we know who's behind this campaign of financial sabotage.
It's the same entities that have targeted our personnel for years for disrupting the official narrative spun out by the national security state.
British counter-terror police recently detained and interrogated one of our most valued contributors, Kit Klarenberg, grilling him about the blockbuster journalism he’s produced for us about the UK’s covert operations.
Unlike Julian Assange, Kit was able to make it out of his home country without being arrested. But he remains under official investigation. That’s right – Kit’s entirely factual reporting is being treated as a potential act of terrorism by the British state.
